elctronic forex meter

ADRID, Jul 22, 2008 ( TLVT | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- ), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today the completion, as scheduled, of the "Amrelva" project installation phase, signed with Sweden's Vattenfall company to supply and manage the automatic remote electric meter reading system. During this phase, Telvent acted as main meter supplier by providing 600,000 of the 850,000 total meters, and allowed Vattenfall to bill all of its clients through remote reading of electric consumption.

On June 27th, coinciding with the installation of the last meter, Helene Bistrom, Vice Head of Business Group Nordic of Vattenfall, executed the symbolic connection of the last meter in the Skarholmen neighborhood in the Swedish city of Uppsala. During the ceremony, Ms. Bistrom stressed the importance of this project for Vattenfall as it supports the development of a secure grid as well as additional services for its end clients.

A total of 583,000 households are set to use the automatic remote reading systems started up by Telvent; users are now able to control electric consumption costs at any time from their homes. This real-time technology also enables a reduction in billing errors, and contributes to increase

Ignacio Gonzalez-Dominguez, Executive Vice President of Telvent's Energy division, pointed out the significance of this project for Telvent, as it has "enabled us to deliver a basic utility management tool through Telvent's Smart Grid Solution Suite." This solution helps utilities, like Vattenfall, to transform their power grid by making electrical distribution more efficient, economical and secure, in addition to, in this particular case, permitting theto comply with Swedish legislation requirements aimed at reducing energy consumption through performance and demand response.

The operational and maintenance phase, also managed by Telvent since 2006, is to be completed by 2011, with a six-year extension option. The services provided to the Swedish electrical utility to date further reinforce and consolidate the strong alliance established by both companies, and ultimately contribute to optimizing the quality of service offered by Vattenfall to its customers.

E+ Electric Bike

E+ Electric Bike

The E+ Electric Bike is available in six styles of bike that are all a variation on a hard-tail mountain bike. The E+ comes standard with a 750 watt BLDC rear hub motor but there is a high torque 85 Nm 1kw hub motor as an upgrade option. Both hub motors have built in inverters so there’s one less box to find mounting space on the bike frame for. The front hub mounted battery pack is something we’ve never seen before on an e-bike. The internal layout is very similar to a hub motor with the stationary inner structure (called the stator) attached to the axle while the outer housing is attached to the rim via spokes and rotates as part of the wheel. Thirty NiMH battery cells are arranged in six groups of five cells arranged in a polygon layout parallel to the axle and mounted on the stator. The battery pack puts out 36 volts at 9 amp hour giving a battery capacity of 324 watt hour. (0.324kw/hr). No electric only range is quoted as this is very dependent on terrain, how much you pedal and the amount of regeneration possible but each battery charge should give between 20 and 40 miles (32 – 64 km). A full charge from a 110v wall socket will take four to six hours and cost about $0.03.

Most Powerful Electric Car

Shelby SuperCars (SSC), the company behind the world’s fastest production car, has announced plans to launch anelectric supercar that is four times as powerful as the Tesla Roadster later this year. The car will boast a range of 150-200 miles on a single charge. Moreover, SSC’s Green division has trademarked an on-board charging system called “Charge on the Run,” which enables a 10 minute full battery recharge on a 220V service.

Expensive Rug

Expensive Rug

The world’s most expensive rug may be silk, Persian and four or five hundred years old, but does it really tie the room together? One anonymous buyer seems to think so.

Sold by Christie’s for $4.45 million, the 16th or 17th century Persian rug measures 7’ 5” by 5’ 7”. It was previously owned by Doris Duke, a tobacco heiress who purchased it in 1990 and left it to the Newport Restoration Foundation when she died. Its record selling price amounts to over $700 per square inch.

The most expensive rug’s record may soon be beaten, however, by the storied Pearl Carpet of Baroda. Commissioned in the 18th century by Khanda Rao Gaekwad, Maharaja of Baroda, the rug is similar to one that decorates the Taj Mahal. Featuring around two million naturally seeded pearls, the rug is embossed with gold set with diamonds, rubies and emeralds. It features three stunning rosettas made of diamonds and silvered gold.

Due to the untimely death of the Maharaja, the rug was never delivered to the destination he had intended for it. Instead of gracing the tomb of the prophet Mohammed, the rug stayed with the Maharaja’s family since its completion.

Now it may fetch a sum as princely as its pedigree at a Sotheby’s auction in their new office in Doha, Qatar. The expected hammer value for this most expensive rug is $14.5 million.

Expensive Pool Table

Expensive Pool Table

How much do you love the game of pool? Do you love it more than your car? More than your house? Well, thanks to Vincent Facquet, you now have the option to really vote with your wallet by buying the world’s most expensive pool table.

The Luxury Billiard is a 117-by-67-inch table with a 100-by-50-inch playing surface made of Iwan Simonis 860, the same cloth used on tables at any major billiards event. Surprisingly, the sights—a. k. a. “diamonds”—on the most expensive billiards table aren’t made with diamonds. Gold or platinum are also used in leaf-form to create the exquisite pattern on the table’s legs.

The Luxury Billiard is just as functional as it is beautiful. It features an automated drawer that can hold a set of pool cues and balls. Additionally, the triangle is built into the table so that you need only push on it—like the CD-ROM drive on a laptop—to eject it from the table.

The most expensive pool table in the world can be had for a mere $177,000. It comes in three models—Noblesse (18k gold), Majesté and Royal (platinum)—but custom configurations are available.

Expensive Ring

Expensive Ring

If you’re an aging bachelor and billionaire looking to wed someone half your age, you may want to look into expensive engagement rings. One such individual’s proposal to an ex-model involved a $1.5 million engagement ring. That may seem way out there, but it’s not even close to the most expensive ring in the world.

The Chopard Blue Diamond Ring is the ring that makes any other diamond ring look bad. Set with an enormous, oval-shaped blue diamond, the expensive ring also has diamond shoulders and an 18k white gold band paved with diamonds.

Blue diamond is among the most expensive diamonds in the world. It is found among boron deposits, from whence it derives its shade. This particular gem weighs in at nine carats.

The world’s most expensive ring is valued at $16.26 million, enough to put a dent in the wallets of even the wealthiest individuals.

Expensive Chair

Expensive Chair

A chair belonging to late and great French fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent has just made history as the world’s most expensive chair.

The founder of the eponymous YSL luxury brand, Saint Laurent died in June of 2008 just a few days after marrying his partner and co-founder, Pierre Bergé.

The expensive armchair had belonged to a Paris-based art dealer before finding its way into the hands of Saint Laurent and Bergé. Reportedly, that very same art dealer is the person who paid ten times the chair’s estimated value to procure it at a Christie’s auction.

The chair was made by Irish designer Eileen Gray sometime between 1917 and 1919. Called the “Dragons” chair, it is one of Gray’s masterpieces and was expected to sell for €2-3 millions.

At Paris’ Grand Palais, held February 24th, the most expensive chair in the world was sold for €21.9 million—that’s US $27.8 million!

Expensive Guitar in the World

Expensive Guitar in the World

“Blackie”, Eric Clapton’s favorite mid-career modified Strat has been surpassed in value and is no longer the most expensive guitar ever, despite that it was bought for $950,000 USD in 2004 by a guitar archaeologist.

The latest most expensive electric guitar in the world dethroned its predecessor at an auction in Doha, Qatar on November 16th, 2005. The Strat was signed by several rock musicians to benefit a tsunami charity, ‘Reach out to Asia’. It was bought one year ago by Qatar’s royal family for a million dollars and donated back to the Asia Program, bringing in $2.7 million USD at the more recent auction, whose attendees included Former President Bill Clinton. Technically, the guitar has generated a total of $3.7 million USD, making it the most expensive guitar yet.

Signees of this expensive electric guitar included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend, Mark Knopfler, Ray Davis, Liam Gallagher, Ronnie Wood, Tony Iommi, Angus & Malcolm Young, Paul McCartney, Sting, Ritchie Blackmore, Def Leppard, and Bryan Adams, the coordinator of the project.

Phone Number

Expensive Phone Number

In many areas of the world you can phone switch carriers but keep your phone number. This is known as phone number portability. Caller id and cell phones have encouraged many people to stop memorizing phone numbers, because simply by hitting a button, a person can connect to someone who recently called. It is easy to see that some phone numbers are easier to remember than others. In May of 2006 the most expensive phone number was sold in a charity auction in Doha, Qatar.

The expensive phone number 666 6666 reportedly sold for 10m Qatari riyals or £1.5m, or around $2,750,000 US. In the West some consider 6 the imperfect number, but this is apparently not the consensus in Qatar.

The Register reports that the Chinese number 8888 8888 was previously the most expensive phone number, selling for £270,000 to Sichuan Airlines.
